Miley Cyrus Signs With Sony Music's "RCA Records" Label


According to MileyCyrusBz, Miley Cyrus has signed with RCA Records, a label owned by Sony Music.. shortly after leaving her former flop label, Hollywood Records.

RCA is known for their streak of creating icons and pop legends out of their artists.. such as Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears, Elvis Presley..

Alicia Keys, Kelly Clarkson, Avril Lavigne, Miranda Lambert, Pitbull, Pink & Usher are also one of many famous names that come from RCA.

RCA has not released a statement yet & MileyCyrusBz did not add any further information, but hopefully will soon.

yayy i hope they do a better job than hwr! and hopefully, she'll go with more of a country route instead of stadium music~ i wish her music that's stuck with hwr leaks though, i really want to hear it

Yep! It depends how invested she is in it too. I think it will be good for her though as on her last tour her vocals were crappy, like she hated what she was singing etc. But her Dylan cover suprised me and her vocals were incredible even live, think she should deffo release some acoustic-y sounding stuff!

ehh if its like Katy with like Ft. or whatever, fine, but I think if shes actually singing hip hop its gonna end up being a mess. I don't mind her experimenting but no ones gonna buy her as a hip hop artist. Hopefully whatever label she signs to makes her and her team see that

I thought RCA was a bad label as well? But good that she changed hopefully they will give her more freedom with her music.

I really hope Demi changes label as well.

RCA is meh but it's a BIG step up from hwr. miley will at least actually have a chance at creative control with her album with rca, whereas HWR wasn't even letting her release music.

plus rca gets her access to a lot of really good producers, and they have other divisions and labels so if she wants she can experiment in different areas (like i think someone mentioned they have a country division? like i'm expecting this album to probably be pop, but she could use rca's country division to put out like, a country experimental ep or something later on-- whereas HWR focuses just on pop).

plus RCA has more money/resources/clout in general, hwr is kind of the joke of the music industry

I hope Demi plays her cards right with her next record so she can get signed to a decent label too

But Demi is under contract right? Her next album belongs to HWR but after that she hopefully changes. The best would be maybe Island Def Jam, I heard they're really good. Especially when it comes to breaking artists in to different places internationally.

I just...I cannot believe that there are people in this world who think that Selena gets a raw deal from HWR. CBT went platinum and didn't get a certification and you're upset that Selena didn't get a 'congratulations' from the record company?! My heart bleeds...
