Louboutin designing a "Cinderella" slipper

Today in Disney-princess news, famed footwear designer Christian Louboutin has partnered with Walt Disney Studios to create a “Cinderella” slipper. This development makes sense—after tirelessly promoting countless movies, books, songs, merchandising deals, and even video games (!), Cinderella deserves a slipper upgrade. But it’s also slightly confounding: Louboutin’s signature design, after all, is a stiletto with a harlot-red-lacquered sole, most famously worn by television’s foremost fictional sex columnist, Carrie Bradshaw.

Or perhaps Louboutin will design a more modest glass flat for the fairy-tale heroine. While little else is known about the design or whether the controversial Cinderella Louboutin will be available to the public (a rep for the shoe deal declined our request for details), one thing is certain. “No one should ever wear a kitten heel, if that’s what they’re thinking,” cautioned Vanity Fair editorial assistant Andrea Cuttler. “Not even Cinderella. Gross.” Cinderella, take note.

Fuck you Cuttler and Vanity Fair, I love kitten heels. I can run in them and I can kick ass. They also are awesome when they are peep toed! I will adore my kitten heels over five inch heels in which you snap your ankles in and can't dance and when you're drunk you look like your doing the drunken otter mating dance.

on that note,; yeah I might buy them.

how can you walk in kitten heels? it's seriously much easier for me to walk in 3.5-5 inch ones if they have a plateau

lol right? i really want to see what they do with this, if it'll be actual glass, and how they'll keep them from easily chipping or just like.. collapsing under someone's weight
famineaffair 1st-May-2012 06:20 pm (UTC)
i'd be too scared to wear it, thinking it'd break somehow and i'd get glass stuck in my foot. not a pretty thought.
