Demi Lovato is the Front-runner for X Factor Judge But No Offer Has Been Made

Demi Lovato is the front-runner for the 4th seat on the "X Factor" judge's panel, but she hasn't gotten an offer yet ... sources connected with Fox Network tell TMZ.

We broke the story, producers are close to sealing a deal with Britney Spears to fill one of the 2 vacant chairs, but that deal is still in negotiations -- it is NOT closed.   We're told both sides expect to reach an agreement and if they do Britney will end up with $15 mil for the season.

Lovato certainly has a fiery personality -- as we reported, she once socked a female back-up dancer in the face during the Jonas Brothers tour.

The other people in contention for the 4th seat are Miley Cyrus, Avril Lavigne, LeAnn Rimes and Fergie. But there have been NO offers made to fill that seat.

If anyone should get that seat it should be Avril but I'd watch for Demi because it would be a great career jump for her. Kudos to her team for not only getting her name in the ring but also getting the girl who's been in the industry the shortest amount of time to be the frontrunner

I was really hoping for Miley. I think it would have been good for her career, especially since she's getting back into music.

LBR.. She's not famous enough or successful enough to do this (completely underqualified as compared to the other candidates.. Even Miley). It's kind of shaky, but I think she might technically actually be qualified to audition on The Voice. (In five years or so, once her original hype has died down, which is sort of sad because out of the Disney three, she does have the voice.. But apparently not the X-factor, which is sort of the point.)

But she's talented and could be fun to watch, so if she wants to use this for exposure/to jump start her career.. Good for her. I like her, and it's better than a fauxmance with some guy in One Direction or something as means to catapult her to relevancy.

it'll be weird if she gets the gig - to me, the ONE thing keeping her from really making it big in the industry is her lack of an 'x factor'. she's got the voice, she's an attractive girl, but otherwise she's kind of lacking.

omg i would love to see fergie as a judge. i've warmed to the idea of miley, and even demi too. i usually don't watch these kind of shows for the judges though.
