"While "X Factor" judges L.A. Reid and Britney Spears have already confirmed they will not be returning, judging from what she told MTV News, Demi Lovato still seems to be mulling her decision over.
"It's hard 'cause at the end of the day, I'm a musician. So, I could take the opportunity to tour, and, you know, I have to be a business woman and I have to like balance it out on both aspects," she told MTV News last week. "But, at the same time I had some much fun. And I would love to go back."
"It's just a matter of making things work," she added. "And, you never know, I may do both; I may just pick one or the other." Her uncertainty is there even as auditions press on for season three. The show will be holding a round of auditions as soon as March 6 in the L.A. area.
If she should join Simon Cowell on the show, she already knows who she wants to have by her side on the mentoring panel. "I would love to see Lady Gaga," Lovato said of the singer. "I don't know if that's possible or not." (As it turns out, it could very well happen as Gaga just canceled her Born This Way Ball tour after being injured.)
While Lovato's "X Factor" future is unclear, there's one thing we do know: Her new single "Heart Attack" is coming March 4, and she's planning on getting real.
"And the title is just about falling in love and taking that risk," she told us. "But, she's terrified and, by 'she,' I mean me. But, I think everyone comes to a point where they feel very vulnerable in falling in love and that's what I'm talking about.""

Demi Lovato fired from the X-Factor?

like i get that they want someone to have that banter with simon, but both of them seemed to take it toooo far last season idek
and demi was an awful mentor.. RIP cece's career & every1 else really
b) Carly was mentored by Brit-Brit, not Queen Demetria.
Jennel is getting on my nerves with her instagram posts. I find her so annoying now. And I actually liked her on the show :(
I'm sure Simon wants her back and I think she wants to be back, but she seems to be pretty busy right now and music will forever be her priority, so I have no idea what they will decide.
I don't want her to come back because I want her to focus on music, but at the same time I want the promo that comes with being a judge on The XFactor.... I'm torn.
She may not have been THAT great of a mentor, but she learned, and she will do better next time.
As for being a judge, I like her when she's sassy. Her and Simon had mad sexual tension but it made for a great sub-plot.
I remember specifically when Cece posted an instagram picture of her and Demi, saying how Demi was the only one of the judges who came on their day off to help Cece with her performance.
You can't say she didn't try.
Actually, having in mind how weak her team was, the only thing I can criticize about her work is the makeover that she did at the beginning. I loved most of it, tbh, but it was too soon for the audience. If she had done that later in the show, it could have worked better.
As a JUDGE I think she was AMAZING, especially after the 1st weeks in the live shows. That panel would have been a snooze fest if Demi wasn't in it, and she actually gave constructive criticism, thing that the other judges failed to deliver.
I'm glad that robot Britney is gone, but the show needs much more changes, though - the wrong editing during auditions, the fact that Simon can change the rules whenever he wants, too much (and loud!) production during the performances, etc.
And X Factor couldn't afford Gaga.
i thought she was the best part of the auditions, and even though she was annoying at the beginning of the live shows, she got better as they went along. plus i agreed with most of her criticisms, especially about carly.
also i highly doubt they wanna have to replace 3 judges.
also none of the contestants seemed to respect her opinions
